Are you ready to step up into a management role and help shape a brand new finance team?
Gleeson Recruitment are working with a fantastic business in Derby that are looking for a Management Accountant to join an exciting new team. This is a great opportunity for someone who’s confident with the fundamentals of management accounting and looking to make their mark through process improvement, balance sheet ownership, and hands-on team management.
This role is paying up to £55,000 with 3 days on site and 2 days at home.
The role:
* Working closely with the Senior Finance Manager, Group Accountant, and Financial Controller
* Preparation of monthly management accounts
* Balance sheet reviews and reconciliations
* Supporting process improvements and system enhancements
* Managing and developing a team of two
* Working closely with the Head of Finance to help establish and embed a new team structure
The ideal candidate:
* CIMA or ACCA qualified
* Experience producing management accounts
* Comfortable stepping into a leadership role
* A mindset for efficiency and continuous improvement
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
This isn’t a super technical role – it’s perfect for someone who enjoys making a process smoother, supporting a team, and driving clarity in the numbers.
