We’re looking for a skilled Production Planner on a permanent basis to join a leading wastewater treatment company, who are looking to expand their team due to recent growth. This is a brand-new role, offering an exciting opportunity to build a production planning process from the ground up. As a Production Planner, you’ll be pivotal in ensuring smooth and efficient production operations, working closely with design, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams.

Key Responsibilities
Work with the Operations Director to develop and implement an end-to-end supply chain and production planning process.
Create, manage, and adjust short and long-term production schedules to meet customer demands.
Collaborate with design, sales, inventory, and workshop teams to streamline processes, eliminate waste, and improve efficiency.
Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and adjust schedules to maintain workflow.
Coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs), analyse production data, and generate reports for management.
Ensure all planning decisions comply with health, safety, and quality standards.
Skills/Experience
Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain coordination within manufacturing, fabrication, or construction.
Strong organisational and coordination skills – ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter mentality – this role requires building a process from scratch, so initiative and problem-solving are essential.
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Dynamics 365) and Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of project management principles is beneficial.
Experience in water treatment, construction, or environmental engineering is a plus.
