* Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 9am – 5pm (35 hours per week, 1 hour lunch break)
Responsibilities
* Research the EU/FR/UK Environmental Legislation (Regulations / Directives / Standards) and report to the relevant MHI Departments, aligning with product development schedule.
* Cooperate with HVACR industry associations and other stakeholders to obtain the latest information and support the business in Environmental Legislation compliance.
* Exchange information with MHI Distributors regarding the implementation of National Environmental Legislation and report to relevant MHI Departments.
* Support MHI Distributors in terms of technical specifications.
* Engage in benchmarking, marketing analysis and product planning.
* Continuously research EU & FR/UK Regulations / Directives and report on the implications for MHI products (including Chemical Substance Regulations such as WEEE, RoHS, REACH, Waste Packaging).
* Monitor HVACR Regulation / Directives (F-Gas, Ecodesign, Energy Labelling, EPBD) and related enforcement actions; cover LVD, PED, MD, EMC directives for CE labeling and enforcement actions.
* Cooperate with industry associations and attend relevant meetings and events (e.g., JBCE, EPEE, EUROVENT, FETA) and report outcomes.
* Attend EU Commission/ FR/UK Government Stakeholder meetings/workshops and Consultation Forum meetings; report on information exchange with MHI Business Partners and Distributors in each Territory (EU, FR, CIS) on National Legislation, Subsidies & Incentive schemes and lobbying activities.
* Support MHI Business Partners and Distributors in applications and registrations of MHI products in software/databases used to access incentives and in product certifications issued by Notified Bodies.
* Provide pre-sales technical support to MHI Business Partners and Distributors; visit partner offices; survey local market information for new product development and deployment; introduce new products highlighting features and benefits.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills
* Has a Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
* Has a fundamental understanding of the heat pump cycle.
* Has good knowledge of EU and FR/UK Environmental Regulations / Directives / Standards applied to the HVACR industry.
* Has experience attending and contributing to industry lobbying activities.
* Has strong interpersonal and communications skills.
* Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English.
* Fluent written and verbal communication skills in French; other European languages are beneficial.
* Capable of multi-tasking with strong problem-solving skills.
* Understands customer requirements (priorities and timing).
* Good command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Willing to travel within Europe (mainly Brussels) and the UK; business trips across Europe with short notice may be required.
