Are you exceptional and do you want to be part of an exceptional team? An exciting position has become available in Enfield Youth Justice Service for a suitable candidate to provide support to young people who are in early stages of being involved in crime. Our ambition is to see children as children within youth justice services, treat them fairly and help them to build on their strengths so they can rehabilitate and make positive contributions to society. This will prevent offending and create safer communities with fewer victims in Enfield.

We really want to hear from you if you:

1. Are passionate about making a difference to children and young people and have an interest in youth justice
2. Are experienced undertaking assessments of children and young people’s needs and developing personalised plans of support
3. Have an ability to develop positive relationship of trust with young people with a diversity of needs and adverse childhood experiences
4. Are a great team player with ‘a can do’ approach and positive outlook

You will be joining a well-resourced service supported by mature and caring management team that has a clear understanding of strengths and areas of development within our practice.

We are looking to recruit a suitable candidate who is resourceful, organised, creative and excellent at forming positive relationships of trust with young people, families and members of the community. The post holder will be expected to use a trauma informed approach within their engagement of young people and offer support, guidance and advocacy, as well as having the confidence and knowledge to be able to challenge views and behaviours that could lead to further offending. The role will also require the applicant to maintain detailed, accurate and contemporaneous records of all activities and case progress in both hard copy and electronic format and in accordance with target objectives and national standards. The post holder will be responsible for carrying out assessments, delivering interventions and brokering additional support to young people that enable them to achieve good outcomes whilst preventing them from re-offending.
