An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Band 6 Staff Nurse to work in the Trust’s Treatment and Investigation Unit (T.I.U) TIU is a day case unit which aims to prevent admission and facilitate timely treatment and discharge. The T.I.U operates a 7 day working week Monday to Friday 07.30 to 19,30 and Weekends 07.30 -15.30, offering a wide range of investigations and treatments. This job will encompass the delivery of quality care. The ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment is vital for this role. Applicants must have a proactive approach to their own personal, professional development; provide support for service development and professional audit. Possession of extended skills such as venepuncture and cannulation is desirable. This role required a valid UK NMC pin registration Base Location: Poole Hospital Interview Date: 9th December Main duties of the job To lead, participate actively and manage the safe and effective running of a Nurse led clinic. To work closely with other specialist nurses within the Trust. Provide specialist education and training to other staff members including other health care professionals. To coordinate the TIU clinic when required, working at a higher level of practice, strengthening the nursing contribution to care of patients. Act as a role model building close professional relationships within TIU. To attend and actively participate in relevant Trust wide meetings Confidently work as part of a team in a busy environment.
