Regional Commercial Lead – Major Projects
We currently have an exciting opening for a Regional Commercial Lead – Major Projects to join our UK Water Business. This role can be based in any of our UK offices.
Responsibilities
* Ensure a healthy, profitable and sustainable Major Projects business while effectively managing risk and growth.
* Oversee the commercial elements of bids and standalone Major Projects; develop competitive commercial proposals with partner organisations.
* Collaborate with Regional Directors, Major Projects Market Area Leads, other Regional Commercial Leads and the Senior Leadership Team to develop, implement and improve strong, controlled commercial strategies that enable sustainable growth.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with Client and Partner Commercial Leads; use these links to review performance, identify improvement opportunities and act as a key escalation route for resolution of Major Project issues.
* Demonstrate visible Health & Safety leadership through active participation in leading indicator activities to protect the wellbeing of employees, clients, partners and the public.
* Provide commercial leadership to the team, inspiring and motivating staff to deliver best practice in commercial and risk performance management; challenge conventional thinking and create a collaborative culture.
Qualifications
* Relevant degree and experience as a Commercial Lead in a consultancy environment, preferably with Design & Build experience in the regulated water sector.
* High commercial acumen, strong business analysis skills and the ability to interpret complex financial systems and reports.
* Experience working with professional services teams in a non‑hierarchical organisation to deliver improvements and change.
* Strong ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers and external partners.
* High degree of self‑management, initiative, reliability and flexibility to ensure the best possible service to internal and external clients.
* Experience with NEC4 contract management practices successfully delivered through various commercial and alliance delivery models (highly regarded).
