Security Support Officer Location: Phillips 66 Humber Refinery, Eastfield Road, South Killingholme, DN40 3DW
Hours: 38.62 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday - Sunday, 8-hour / 12-hour shifts
Pay & Benefits: £13.17 per hour
Contract: Fixed-term for 6 months
Requirements: SIA Licence & Full UK Driving Licence

About the Role
Security Support Officer to join team at Phillips 66 Humber Refinery. Great opportunity for customer‑focused, proactive individual to work with world‑leading facilities management company and support safe and secure operation of the site. Provide hands‑on support for security operations, ensuring buildings, people, and valuables are safe at all times.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide ad‑hoc support for security operations across all services
* Ensure buildings, valuables, and personnel are safe and secure
* Handle communications, including telephone, radio, and emergency procedures
* Control personnel and vehicle access to the site, including visitor management and sponsor verification
* Monitor and operate site barriers and CCTV systems
* Check detection monitors (fire, security, etc.) and take relevant action
* Update records and maintain documentation
* Conduct routine security patrols and carry out bag and vehicle searches as required
* Record and report faults on security equipment
* Perform random vehicle speed checks and site muster reader checks as per schedule
* Complete relevant KPI audits
* Maintain security vehicles as part of weekly routine
* Carry out general administration duties
* Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies
* Follow instructions from line managers and adhere to site SLAs
What You'll Bring
* Valid and in‑date SIA Licence
* Proven experience in a corporate security role or similar
* Strong observational skills and attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills and a professional approach
* Ability to handle emergencies calmly and effectively
* Understanding of security practices and processes
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Flexibility to work varied hours at short notice
