The Opportunity As a Design Engineer in the Component Engineering department, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality, reliable air and fuel system components - from concept through to production. This hands-on role provides the opportunity to lead design projects, work with a cross-functional team, and collaborate globally to deliver world-class products. Key Responsibilities Deliver component development projects within time, cost, and quality targets Lead and participate in design reviews to gain business support and approval Develop specifications and collaborate with suppliers to ensure robust design and delivery Conduct FMEA assessments and coordinate simulation and validation (DVP&R) activities Investigate technical issues using 8D problem-solving methods Understand customer requirements and translate them into effective design solutions Prepare and review technical documentation to support production release Engage with global teams to implement solutions at manufacturing facilities Promote continuous improvement using Lean principles What You'll Need to Succeed Required: A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience) 6-8 years of relevant engineering experience Proficient in CAD (ideally Creo) and PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter) Experience designing powertrain and/or engine components Desirable: Experience with fuel systems, air systems, EGR systems, or turbochargers Familiarity with APQP, FMEA, and DVP&R processes Background in the off-highway diesel engine sector Experience in simulation and test-based component development Ready to shape the future of industrial engines?
