Position
Van Pack Drainage Engineer – Permanent, full‑time (45 hrs per week) | Salary £30,500 per annum

Crawley Depot, Crawley, West Sussex

Responsibilities
* Travel to residential sites in a van and operate a high‑pressure water jet for restoration
* Clean, clear and maintain drainage systems
* Record job reports accurately using the specialist equipment provided
* Run diagnostics and repair drains
* Deliver excellent customer service
* Maintain H&S practices while carrying out works
* Keep vehicle stock full and replenished
* Use PPE and safe site set‑ups to protect employees, the public and other road users
* Utilise VISTEC and Salesforce platforms
* Work unsupervised in all weather conditions using appropriate PPE and lone worker system
* Dynamically risk‑assess site access and working conditions upon arrival
* Liaise with client regarding progress and any updates
* Provide support to colleagues
* Inspect tools, equipment and plant before and after use
* Report any defects or malfunctions in relation to training
* Conduct risk assessments and adopt a mature approach to risk perception
* Know and apply all Lanes Group policies and responsibilities
* Perform other reasonable ad‑hoc duties as requested by management
Requirements
* Full UK driver’s licence
* Hard‑working, respectful and compliant with health and safety standards
* Experience using high‑pressure jetting equipment a plus, not essential
* Other drainage qualifications (e.g. NRSWA, Confined Spaces) an advantage
* Ability to work quickly, diagnose and deliver practical solutions for maximum customer satisfaction
