Sports Coach
Location: Blackburn
Hours: Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 3:20pm, Friday: 8:00am – 2:30pm
Pay: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour
Start Date: ASAP

We are currently recruiting for a Sports Coach to join a Secondary Alternative Provision in Blackburn, supporting pupils who benefit from a tailored and nurturing educational approach.
Role Overview:
As a Sports Coach, you will:
Deliver structured and engaging sports sessions throughout the school day
Encourage physical fitness, teamwork, and personal development in students
Provide general classroom support and assist with Teaching Assistant duties when needed
Build strong, supportive relationships with students who may present challenging behaviour
Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to create a positive and safe environment
About You:
We are looking for someone who is:
Experienced in sports, fitness, youth work, or education
Confident with behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
Adaptable, calm under pressure, and committed to supporting young people
Willing to take on general TA responsibilities across the school day
A background in education or previous experience working in an Alternative Provision, PRU, or SEMH setting is highly desirable.
