Here at ABP Langport, located in Southwest Somerset (TA10 9HG), we are currently recruiting for the ideal candidate to join our Boning Hall Team as a Butchery Apprentice Mentor.

Role definition:
Mentor apprentices enrolled on the butchery apprenticeship programme, ensuring training is delivered efficiently, effectively, and in line with programme standards.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Mentor and train primary apprentices in the requirements of the Level 2 Butchery Standard and department requirements.
Attend apprentice classroom sessions on a monthly basis as a minimum and monitor progress.
Liaise with training providers on progress and practical training needs of apprentices.
Act as a first point of contact for apprentices regarding training queries, workplace challenges, and wellbeing concerns.
Responsible for completing RTW's daily.
Responsible for maintaining accurate records of apprentice progress, attendance, and performance.
Responsible for ensuring health and safety practices are followed and adhered to.
Responsible for good housekeeping practices
Knowledge and Experience:
Essential
Strong coaching or mentoring skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple apprentices.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding standards.
Desirable
Experience working with apprentices or within a training/learning environment.
Knowledge of apprenticeship frameworks, standards, or vocational training requirements.
