Job Summary
This role is Head of the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) for UNICEF UK. It provides strategic direction, governance, and oversight of UNICEF UK’s portfolio, ensuring initiatives are prioritised, sequenced and delivered effectively. The PMO acts as the organisation’s centre of excellence for portfolio management, strategic delivery, governance, assurance and financial oversight, working closely with Directors and senior leaders.
Responsibilities
• Provide strategic direction and governance for the portfolio.
• Prioritise, sequence and oversee delivery of key initiatives.
• Enable informed decision‑making and successful strategy delivery through effective oversight and assurance.
• Lead and influence executive stakeholders, balancing strategic thinking with pragmatic delivery discipline.
• Embedding governance standards and improving confidence, visibility and accountability across the portfolio.
Qualifications
• Experienced portfolio or PMO leader with a strong track record operating at senior level in complex organisations.
• Demonstrated ability in governance, prioritisation, delivery oversight and change leadership.
• Excellent relationship builder, comfortable influencing executive stakeholders.
• Proven experience leading teams and embedding standards.
