Construction Supervisor
Location: Washington, Tyne and Wear
Salary: Up to £50,500 per year (depending on experience)
Employment: Full-time, Permanent, 40 hours per week
About the Role
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Construction Supervisor to join our Network Design and Construction team in the Assets Directorate. This role will ensure the effective delivery of high quality and commercially competitive mains renewals, lead renewal, diversions and new development projects.
Responsibilities
* Own crew delivery across the North East operating area.
* Manage people and resources to ensure all planned work is delivered in time and under budget.
* Monitor progress on sites, measure performance, identify continuous improvement and escalated where required.
* Ensure construction activities comply with health and safety, water quality, environmental and cost management guidelines.
* Deliver high standards of health and safety, guarding and traffic management requirements.
* Exchange information with internal and external customers at a high standard.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in a supervisory or management position within water or civil engineering.
* Experience with isolation operations on a water network, safety procedures, hydraulics and pipe integrity.
* Experience with deep excavations, large diameter repairs and operation of large plant and equipment.
* UK driving licence.
* Strong team building skills, commercial performance management and stakeholder engagement.
* Ability to work unsupervised, organise own time and priorities.
