Salary £41,771 to £46,142, pay award pending, As a Principal Policy Officer, youll be at the heart of our work to support key strategy and plans to help the council, partners and residents influence the future of our town that could involve supporting the councils performance management framework, helping to plan and co‑coordinate the councils work with Boltons voluntary and community sector, or working with our partners through Bolton Vision Partnership. This post is a designated customer‑facing role under the fluency duty and requires a specified level of spoken English as per the person specification.
Responsibilities
* Support key strategy and plans to help the council, partners and residents influence the future of our town.
* Support the councils performance management framework.
* Help plan and co‑coordinate the councils work with Boltons voluntary and community sector.
* Work with our partners through Bolton Vision Partnership.
* Fulfil a designated customer‑facing role under the fluency duty and maintain a specified level of spoken English.
Qualifications and experience
* Strong understanding of local and national policies.
* Excellent all‑round communication skills.
* Ability to think strategically and analyse complex issues and develop effective solutions.
* Strong project management skills and ability to lead delivery of complex corporate projects.
* Experience of business planning and performance management.
* Understanding of statutory commitments under the Equalities Act 2010.
* Relevant degree level qualification.
