Overview
Newark and Sherwood Local Mental Health Team (LMHT) are looking to recruit a compassionate and highly skilled Clinical Lead to join the LMHT management team. The role will support the Team Leader and the wider LMHT workforce in leading, monitoring and evaluating the clinical practice of the team towards clinical excellence.
Responsibilities
* Provide and oversee clinical supervision and support the multi‑disciplinary team to deliver high quality and safe patient‑centred care.
* Lead on service transformation in line with the NHS Long Term Plan and co‑produce and support the evolution of pathway interventions with community mental services.
* Develop pathways of care across community mental health teams to embed and implement new ways of working, and deliver approved training in line with those clinical pathways.
* Exercise senior clinical expertise, judgement, discretion and decision‑making in clinical care while working within the team.
* Participate in clinical leadership alongside the Team Leader and coordinate the team in delivering high‑quality multidisciplinary care.
* Ensure patients receive appropriate investigation, intervention and treatment with minimal avoidable delays while improving the quality and experience of care.
* Monitor and lead improvements to standards of care through supervision of practice, clinical audit, evidence‑based practice, teaching and supporting professional colleagues.
* Hold the qualification relevant to the LMHT Provision (Nursing, Social Work, OT, Therapist or other professional registration) and use these skills in collaboration with others to lead clinically in support of the delivery of high‑quality services.
* Be responsible for completing specialist mental health assessments and developing treatment plans as an autonomous practitioner, monitoring interventions and ensuring compliance with Trust policy.
* Maintain professional standards, ensuring adherence to all relevant policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of high‑quality care.
* Utilise a full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use; reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Experienced clinician with professional registration in Nursing, Social Work, OT, Therapist or other relevant professional discipline.
* Demonstrated active clinical and managerial leadership skills, providing education and supervision to junior staff members and other professionals.
* Experience in clinical supervision, audit, evidence‑based practice and teaching.
* Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and lead transformation initiatives.
* Full UK driving licence and a vehicle for business use.

The Team Notts HC comprises over 11,000 dedicated colleagues and provides mental health, community health, forensic and other services across multiple sites. Applicants are required to pay for their DBS check; costs (£26.40 standard or £54.40 enhanced) will be deducted from salary over the first two months of employment. An annual DBS Update Service fee of £16 applies.
