Position: EAP Telephone Counsellor (Hybrid, Glasgow)
Salary: £26,000 to £30,000, based on full‑time hours of 37.5 (pro rata for part‑time).
Location: Glasgow (requires at least one day shift in‑office, Glasgow and Bracknell).
Working hours: minimum 22.5 hrs per week. Shift options include daytime, overnight and weekend shifts.
Responsibilities
* Carry out initial clinical assessments and triage of client needs, leading to appropriate clinical pathways.
* Deliver support through booked assessment appointments, in‑moment support, or booked single sessions via telephone and/or video calls.
* Carry out risk assessments and follow the Safeguarding and Risk Protocol process.
* Manage a caseload of clients requiring structured counselling.
* Write brief, accurate and concise clinical notes for all interactions.
* Integrate into our Support Line Team.
Requirements
* Qualified as a Counsellor/Psychotherapist (L4 and above in Counselling) with BACP/COSCA (or similar) registered status.
* Good IT skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
* Strong clinical background with excellent assessment and decision‑making skills, holding boundaries and able to work under pressure.
* Team‑player with excellent time‑management, communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work a minimum of 22.5 hrs per week, including at least one in‑office day shift in Glasgow/Bracknell.
* Flexible to cover at least one weekend shift (7.5 hrs) and one overnight sleeping shift per month where applicable.
* Previous EAP or telephone counselling experience, ideally in a corporate environment (advantageous but not mandatory).
