Automation Specialist
The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and improving automation solutions in a fast-paced Sort Center environment. This position requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Function as the site-level expert on all automation systems and sensors, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
* Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of technicians in control system fault finding.
* Collaborate with the EU Automation network to improve monitoring capabilities and provide data-driven insights to internal customers.
* Participate in or lead continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing automation capabilities within the EU network.
* Work closely with IT, EU Automation Engineering, and Operations Engineering teams to ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of systems.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in PLC-controlled automation and issue diagnosis in a continuous process or production environment.
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related fields.
* Proven ability to troubleshoot under high-pressure situations.
* Capacity to follow, understand, and develop improvement strategies for code conforming to IEC 61131-3 standards.
* Experience in dealing with material handling, flow, and capacity visualization and monitoring is highly desirable.
