Weare seeking a skilled and compassionate Pharmacy Dispenser to join the Pharmacyat University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust.
Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will play a crucial role inproviding patient care and ensuring the safe and accurate administration ofmedications. Your responsibilities will include assisting pharmacists indispensing prescriptions, maintaining inventory, and providing excellentcustomer service.
This is a full-time role (37.5 hours) post for a Band 2pharmacy dispenser who will play an integral part of the medicines optimisationclinical services team providing a Pharmacy service and working closely withinthe multi-disciplinary team.

Job responsibilities

* Assist pharmacists in dispensingmedications to patients
* Prepare and label prescriptionmedications accurately
* Maintain proper storage andhandling of medications
* Provide information and guidanceto patients regarding medication usage and potential side effects
* Collaborate with healthcareprofessionals to ensure appropriate medication therapy
* Process insurance claims andhandle billing inquiries
* Maintain accurate patient recordsand prescription files
