About the role
We're seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Accommodation Support Officers, working across both custodial (HMP) and community settings. This dynamic role is essential in supporting individuals as they transition from prison back into the community, helping them secure and sustain stable accommodation. Successful candidates will work closely with prison staff, probation services, housing providers, and local authorities to assess housing needs, develop resettlement plans, and provide ongoing support post-release. Key responsibilities
1. Manage a caseload of participants, producing personalised accommodation plans.
2. Carry out initial assessments, considering risk, situation, and need.
3. Record progress and outcomes accurately using our case management system.
4. Maintain contact with participants, identifying emerging risks and concerns.
5. Create and maintain effective professional relationships with participants and external stakeholders.
6. Encourage positive changes in attitudes and behaviours.
Skills and experience
* Experience in managing a caseload and producing accommodation plans.
* Ability to carry out assessments considering risk and needs.
* Strong record-keeping skills using case management systems.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to build professional relationships.
* Comfortable working with diverse populations.
