Job Vacancy: SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary) - Wavertree, Liverpool Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary) Location: Wavertree, Liverpool Salary: £100 - £110 per day (depending on experience) Contract: Long-term Start Date: 22nd of September 2025 Are you a caring, patient, and enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs? A friendly and inclusive primary school in Wavertree is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team and make a real difference in the lives of our pupils. About the Role: You will support one or more children with additional needs - including autism, speech and language difficulties, social and emotional needs, or learning delays - either on a 1:1 basis or within a small group. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you'll play a key role in helping pupils feel safe, supported, and able to access learning. Your Responsibilities Will Include: Supporting pupils with EHCPs and identified SEN needs in the classroom Implementing tailored strategies and interventions under teacher guidance Building positive, trusting relationships with children and their families Helping pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and independence Promoting an inclusive learning environment for all children Supporting the class teacher with planning and preparation where appropriate We're Looking For Someone Who: Has experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting Is calm, nurturing, and able to adapt to different pupils' needs Understands the importance of safeguarding and child protection Can work as part of a supportive team and communicate effectively Holds a relevant TA qualification or equivalent experience (desirable but not essential) What We Offer: A welcoming and inclusive school community in the heart of Wavertree A supportive leadership team and experienced SENCO Regular training and CPD opportunities Opportunities to make a lasting impact in children's lives A positive, caring, and collaborative working environment If you're passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and want to join a dedicated team, we'd love to hear from you.
