About The Role: This role is a Night Senior Care Assistant at HC One. Kindness will be at the core of everything you do in our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. By joining HC-One, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to residents, planning and implementing care that gives them security, dignity and independence. You will know residents and their families, helping to deliver truly personalised care plans. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will lead a team of Care Assistants, maintain the highest standards of care, and influence the rest of the team. You may assist with activities of daily living, end-of-life care, or communicating with family, always with kindness. You will support the Registered Nurse and Care Manager and provide physical and mental stimulation through activities, as well as administering medication. One key responsibility is to maintain accurate records and build strong team relationships.
Responsibilities
* Lead and support the care team to deliver high-quality care
* Plan and implement person-centred care that respects residents’ security, dignity and independence
* Know residents and families to deliver truly personalised care plans
* Support with activities of daily living, including end-of-life care when appropriate
* Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager; provide physical and mental stimulation via social and recreational activities
* Administer medication in accordance with care plans
* Maintain accurate records of care provided
* Foster strong relationships with the team and residents
Qualifications
* Ideally completed a Level 2 Diploma/SNVQ in Adult Social Care and prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification or equivalent
* Background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia
* Positive energy and the ability to get on with people
* Strong record-keeping, time-management and communication skills; be considerate and kind in all interactions
