The Workplace Experience Team is a high-performing, motivated, and collaborative team responsible for delivering customer-focused initiatives, including Future Ways of Working, Customer Experience, and Customer Insight.
The Future Ways of Working team is responsible for embedding and evolving modern working practices across the civil service. After successfully delivering the smarter working programme, the team supports a network of practitioners to inform and influence future ways of working, emphasizing flexibility and choice.
The Engagement Manager for Future Ways of Working will enable contributions from the practitioner network and other groups to shape future work practices through engaging events and analysis of outputs. They will also support the wider community with advice on embedding modern working approaches.
The team may require the successful candidate to support other areas within GPA as needed.
Key Responsibilities
As the Future Ways of Working Engagement Manager, your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the delivery of the interoperability programme by developing the ‘Ways of Working’ pillar, leveraging the practitioner group to inform discovery and evolve civil service work practices.
* Analyzing lessons from interoperability pilots to identify challenges and enablers, and advising on change management principles and best practices.
* Managing the cross-government Smarter Working Community of Practice, hosting events, providing guidance, and developing tools to showcase GPA’s expertise.
* Leading workplace change communication and engagement activities across government and beyond, promoting continuous improvement.
* Facilitating sessions for internal and external audiences, including co-hosting and moderating discussions.
* Maintaining and developing smarter working communities to enhance GPA’s reputation as a thought leader.
* Collaborating with Customer Experience and Insights teams to identify behavioral challenges and support change management initiatives.
* Reviewing research materials to create insights and advice, maintaining GPA’s leadership in smarter working practices.
* Line managing the EO support officer post.
