Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review Working 36.5 hours per week About the Role We are looking for a dedicated Social Worker to join our city-wide Adults Safeguarding Team at Birmingham City Council. This role focuses on meeting the Local Authority’s statutory responsibility to provide a person centred approach to protecting vulnerable citizens. Key Responsibilities To meet Adult Social Care’s statutory responsibilities as detailed in Section 42 of the Care Act. To respond to Safeguarding Concerns, conduct Safeguarding Enquiries and formulate Safeguarding Plans as required. To work closely with citizens, carers, colleagues and partner agencies in line with the principles of Making Safeguarding Personal. Ensure compliance with legal requirements, policies, and safeguarding procedures. Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to continual service improvement. About You • Qualified Social Work England registration. • Experience delivering social work services to vulnerable adults. • Experience of Adult Safeguarding is desirable. • Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure. • Knowledge of key legislation guiding social work and social care. • Commitment to equality, diversity, and continual professional development.
