Removals Operations Manager – Hounslow, Greater London
Alchemy is pleased to be supporting a leading removals and storage company based in Hounslow in their search for an experienced Removals Operations Manager. This pivotal role involves overseeing logistics, job scheduling, team coordination, and service delivery within a fast-paced environment, contributing directly to the company’s continued growth and success.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Oversee day-to-day removals operations, including planning, execution and monitoring
* Allocate jobs and coordinate schedules for removals crews, drivers and support staff
* Plan efficient vehicle routes, manage driver shifts and ensure resource utilisation
* Monitor the removals team's performance, provide coaching, and drive continuous improvement
* Resolve operational issues swiftly (delays, damage claims, client alterations)
* Ensure compliance with health & safety, transport, and licensing regulations
* Maintain and enforce high customer service standards throughout all operations
* Liaise with removals clients, handle complaints, and ensure satisfaction
* Oversee vehicle fleet maintenance schedules, inspections and repairs
* Collaborate with warehouse/storage teams to coordinate moves and storage handovers
* Prepare operational reports and KPIs for senior management
* Implement process improvements, cost-saving measures and best practices
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in removals, logistics, transport operations or a related field
* Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise multiple tasks and projects
* Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to motivate teams
* Solid problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure
* Knowledge of transport regulations, health & safety and compliance standards
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, variable environment and adapt to changes
