The opportunity:
Our client is a leading chemical manufacturer, serving diverse sectors including personal care, healthcare, veterinary, automotive, and more.
They are looking to add to their growing team and need a Multi skilled engineer to join with an electrical bias
The role:
This role is ideal for a multiskilled engineer with an electrical bias who is local to the Wirral and keen to progress in a growing team and work on a profitable site
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
Electrical fault finding and repairs (PLCs, motors, drives, sensors, control panels).
Hands-on mechanical maintenance – conveyors, pumps, pneumatics, bearings.
Carrying out and supporting site upgrades, modifications, and new electrical installations.
Responding quickly to breakdowns to keep production moving.
Delivering planned maintenance and reliability improvements.
Supporting projects like equipment installs, upgrades, and commissioning.You will have the following qualifications and experience:
Time-served or Level 3 qualified in Electrical Engineering.
Strong electrical skills – confident with fault finding, repairs, and installations.
Solid mechanical knowledge, and happy that most of the role will be mechanical work.
At least 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
A safety-first approach and a team player attitude.It’s great if you also have the following:
Knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) principles.
Experience in chemical, food, or other regulated environments (DSEAR/ATEX).
Familiarity with Lean, CI, or CMMS systems.You will benefit from the following:
