Care Support Assistant
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Support Assistant to join our team at Yarnley House Care Home. Our home provides quality Residential, Dementia, Nursing and Respite care for 72-residents in the small village of Crow.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional care and support to our residents. You will be an integral part of our close-knit care team, ensuring our residents receive personalized care and attention every day.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily routines, promoting independence and encouraging positive choices.
* Follow and support each resident's personalized care plan, providing hands-on help and thoughtful attention to their individual needs.
* Monitor residents' health and well-being, communicating concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assisting with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
* Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued and cared for in every interaction.
* Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
* Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, responding quickly to emergencies or call bells.
* Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (preferred).
* At least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant (ideally). We welcome those with transferable skills and a passion for care.
* A genuine interest in caring for the elderly and commitment to delivering excellent service.
* Integrity, respect, and a strong sense of teamwork.
