This role focuses on SEN / SEND tutoring for young people with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs, in Merseyside.
Responsibilities
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Plan each session of teaching, tutoring, and mentoring
* Deliver holistic, engaging, trauma-informed sessions that support educational and social-emotional development
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on the learner’s progress
* Engage with local authorities and schools as needed and support the learner throughout their journey

SEN / SEND Tutor requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD or other Additional Educational Needs
* Safeguarding knowledge and DBS (enhanced) - we can help obtain it at cost
* Two professional references
* Right to work in the UK (including for remote/online assignments)
It is a strict requirement to promote health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and to follow safeguarding policies at all times.
Employment status
* Engagement through a contract for service as a Worker for short-term engagements
* Paid via PAYE
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Insurance for work carried out with us
* Not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
