The Role

Key Responsibilities
* Perform conventional machining operations such as turning, milling and drilling using various lathes, CNC machines and conventional machines to manufacture and repair mechanical assemblies.
* Ensure workflow procedures are followed.
* Record all data necessary to produce and expected service and/or design results including sizes and illustrations.
* Balance mechanical assemblies using dynamic balancing equipment.
* Perform metal spraying techniques as needed.
* Understand materials and applications as required.
* Set up and perform tool‑post grinding operations (e.g., precision surface facing), broaching procedures, and Babbitt bearing work.
* Perform various welding operations, including setup and use of MIG, TIG, torch and stick welders.
* Lift, tighten, adjust and/or secure heavy objects in order to perform work and/or to observe safety precautions.
* Use various hand‑held and stationary power and non‑power tools, including but not limited to band saw, belt sanders, hand grinders, files, etc.
* Ensure that all company H&S policies and procedures are followed to ensure the safety of yourself and your colleagues.
* Promote a culture of working safely as routine.
