Job summary CLCH Hertfordshire Adult Community Services - CLCH NHS Trust provides a range of Community Services, and the Hertfordshire Division is recruiting! We are pleased to offer an opportunity to join our team as a Band 3 Receptionist/Administrator, working 16.5 hours per week. This is a valued role providing a professional, welcoming, and efficient reception and administrative service to the Contraception, HIV and Sexual Health teams within Hertfordshire Sexual Health Services. You will play an important part in supporting both patients and clinical staff, helping ensure services run smoothly and accessibly. Main duties of the job As part of this role, you will: o Book and manage clinic appointments, including processing new referrals and maintaining waiting listso Communicate appointment information clearly and sensitively to patients and carerso Provide administrative support to clinical staff, contributing to efficient service deliveryo Act as a first point of contact for day to day issues involving staff or service users, resolving concerns where possibleo Handle complaints in line with CLCH policies and procedures, escalating where appropriateo Build and maintain positive working relationships within the multidisciplinary team and collaborate with other departments when needed About us We are proud to be one of the largest community healthcare providers in the country, with more than 4,500 colleagues caring for over four million people across London and Hertfordshire. Person Specification Education/Qualification Essential Good level of literacy and numeracy and general education NVQ Admin Level 3 in Administration or equivalent Desirable European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) or equivalent Experience Essential Secretarial or administrative experience in an office environment. Experience of working with the general public in a customer or client-facing role. Experience of inputting to databases, spreadsheets and/or other IT systems and business applications used in the office environment. Experience of taking, producing and distributing notes as directed. Desirable Experience of working with patients and carers in a public sector environment. Experience of working in a health care environment. Knowledge of petty cash and stock ordering procedures Skills & Knowledge Essential Understanding of the need for confidentiality. Understanding of Equal Opportunities and Diversity. Competent in the use of Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook). Accurate copy typing. Excellent verbal and written skills. Able use own initiative to plan and prioritise own workload to meet deadlines. Able to provide evidence of demonstration of the Trust's Values and Behaviours. Ability to work autonomously and make decisions.
