We’re seeking a Compliance Specialist to join our Compliance team as part of our wider Product team. Along with our Head of Technical & Compliance, you’ll ensure every Finisterre product meets international regulatory standards, giving our customers complete confidence in what they wear or use. So, if you are as passionate about the ocean as we are and if you want to be part of a truly authentic, purpose-led brand and you share our vision to create exceptional products in a responsible way, then we would love to hear from you KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Regulatory Compliance: Own and maintain Finisterre’s global compliance roadmap, ensuring all products meet applicable UK, EU, US and international regulatory requirements. Monitor and interpret emerging legislation across operating and prospective territories, proactively assessing business impact and driving implementation plans. Provide regulatory guidance to cross-functional teams, embedding compliance requirements from concept through to production. Brand Certification: Project manage all brand and product certification processes, partnering with the Head of Technical & Compliance and Head of Impact where required. Ensure all required certifications and compliance documentation are accurate, up to date, and stored within the PLM system in line with critical path and wholesale deadlines. Work closely with Impact and Raw Materials teams to validate sustainability claims (e.g. organic, recycled), ensuring robust documentation and audit readiness. Digital Product Passports & Traceability: Support Digital Product Passport (DPP) initiatives working with Buying & Impact, to build out our traceability journey. Establish and maintain internal SOPs for data collection, validation, and ongoing compliance in line with published DPP regulations. Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with the Head of Technical & Compliance on regulatory strategy, risk management, and long-term compliance planning. Collaborate with Product Development on territory-specific labelling requirements, including translations, safety warnings, and material declarations. Deliver compliance training and guidance to the wider Product team to ensure seamless adoption of evolving regulatory requirements. Experience working with Impact and marketing teams liaising on project updates and strategy KPI’s. Requirements WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO FINISTERRE 3-5 years experience in a product compliance or regulatory role within apparel. Proven experience managing product compliance across multiple territories (UK, EU and US preferred). Working knowledge of key regulatory frameworks Experience implementing product certification processes. Practical experience managing compliance documentation within PLM or similar system. Experience working in-person and virtually with suppliers Exposure to horizon scanning and assessing the impact of new or evolving regulation Confident interpreting legislation and translating regulatory requirements into clear internal actions. High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines within a critical path. Comfortable working with digital systems and data management platforms (experience with Digital Product Passports or traceability platforms advantageous). Pro-active and solutions focused, with confidence to raise risk appropriately Strong cross-functional communicator, able to work effectively with Product and Impact teams and external partners. We’ll invest in you with a competitive salary, circa £32,000 - £35,000, depending on your skills and experience. But it’s not just a job.
