Remedy Education is working with specialist schools in Waltham Forest that are looking for empathetic and skilled SEN Teaching Assistants to join their teams immediately. The Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students both inside and outside the classroom. Your responsibilities will include: Individualised Support - Helping students with Autism access the curriculum by adapting resources and strategies to their specific needs. Progress & Development - Supporting students to achieve key milestones and feeding back to teachers and parents on their progress. Emotional Guidance - Creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment to help students manage anxieties, behaviour, and sensory needs. Collaboration - Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure a joined-up approach to learning and wellbeing. Inclusion - Encouraging social skills and promoting independence, ensuring every student feels part of the school community. What We're Looking For: Experience working with students with Autism or other SEN in a school or care setting. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs. Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow individual learning plans (IEPs). A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new strategies. An up-to-date enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply). What We Offer: Competitive daily rates of £100 - £120 depending on experience. Full-time, long-term positions with immediate start dates.
