Due to expansion, we are recruiting for a Territory Sales Manager. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend key customer management with fast-paced new business development and to contribute to the ambitious growth plans within the Purina team.
A day in the life of a Territory Sales Manager …
This is an exciting and diverse role, responsible for driving new business, growing relationships with clinics and clinical groups, and achieving activation of all NPD and brand initiatives within Purina accounts.
You will drive the conversion of vet practices within corporate clinics and clinical groups to stock PRO PLAN and PRO PLAN Veterinary Diets as the first line to achieve territory sales targets.
Responsibilities include:
* Achieving sales targets for the PRO PLAN and PPVD brands through effective management of existing accounts and new business acquisition.
* Converting clinics to stock our products, using sales and negotiation skills to win new business.
* Meeting KPIs for strategic focus areas, including NPD and in-clinic initiatives.
* Managing customer relationships through optimized contact strategies, including routine visits, reviews, staff training, and advocacy days.
* Maintaining high technical product knowledge to facilitate conversations at all levels of practice staff.
* Delivering tailored training to meet practice requirements.
* Understanding customer strategies and competitor activity, and creating awareness internally through networking.
* Developing and implementing Customer Business Plans to meet targets aligned with channel strategy.

We seek candidates passionate about nutrition, with successful sales experience, strong relationship-building skills, commercial acumen, and a results-driven mindset.
You should be self-motivated, experienced in securing new business, adaptable in communication, resilient, and influential.
Ideal skills and experience include:
* Proactive with commercial awareness and numeracy skills
* Experience in business development
* Veterinary channel experience (beneficial)
* Knowledge of companion animals or the pet industry (beneficial)
* Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office
* Organized, with good planning and prioritization skills
* Ability to travel within the territory
