A specialist provision in Heybridge is looking to recruit a Behaviour Support Assistant to support students with SEMH and associated complex needs aged 11-16 years.
This role is dedicated to inspiring students with SEMH, many of whom have experienced trauma, distress, and toxicity.
The right candidate should be confident with de-escalation strategies, robust, and able to build strong rapport to break down barriers to learning.
You must also be empathetic with a good understanding or background in special educational needs or social, emotional, and mental health.
A positive energy, resilience, and hard work are essential. An outdoor/sports/activity coordinator background or creative arts/food tech experience would be advantageous, as the role involves outdoor and creative activities.
You must be available to work between 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday. A competitive salary is offered.

All pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with potential for permanency later.
