Join Anglian Water's Strategic Pipeline Alliance as an Archaeological Clerk of Works. Location: Hybrid work from SPA construction site offices across Anglian Water region Employment Type: Part-time, (3 days per week minimum) Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about contributing to one of the UK’s most ambitious water infrastructure projects? The Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) is searching for an Archaeological Clerk of Works to support and enhance our project delivery team. What will you be doing as our new Archaeological Clerk of Works? You will be responsible for the observation and monitoring of on-site archaeological activities and ensuring adherence to the archaeological investigation strategy for SPA. You will ensure quality assurance of archaeological sub-contractor work to ensure it adheres to the agreed WSI and meets the relevant professional standards. You will provide toolbox talks and briefings to site teams, use the reporting system to log all site visits and observations, lead stakeholder site visits, and will work with the Principal Contractor and archaeological sub-contractor to ensure completion of works. Key responsibilities: Log and share site observations, identifying whether improvements can be made on site and share observations with the site teams Ensure adherence to relevant technical documents and methods, e.g. WSI, Method Statements Monitor safety on site, raising any issues with the appropriate person Work with the SPA Archaeology and Delivery teams to complete fieldwork to programme and ensure any changes to the agreed programme are communicated promptly and clearly Work with stakeholders to maintain a communicative, open and honest relationship between SPA and all stakeholders A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours: This job might be for you if you have: Previous experience in an Archaeological Clerk of Works position, or demonstrable experience of archaeological fieldwork to supervisor level at a minimum Experience of being a team member who facilitates the sharing of historic environment information across project and delivery teams The ability to work flexibly across several projects and to meet required deadlines Effective written and verbal communication, with excellent organisation and analytical skills Full driving licence Not only do we look for the best talent to join us on our journey, we also look for individuals to demonstrate key behaviours that align with our values and beliefs.
