Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a Casual Education Assistant within Environment Service. The postholder will be managed by the Parks and Countryside Programme officer and will work at Hardwick Park and Wharton Park. They will support the delivery of a wide and comprehensive range of historical and environmentally based education sessions, both formal and informal, across all age and ability levels. They will assist in promoting the parks through events and activities while engaging with the local community. The post holder will assist with all elements of education, including events, marketing, administration, and interpretation, and will work on their own initiative to deliver school workshops, school holiday activities, an Under 5s programme, and birthday party packages. The post holder will assist the team in delivering projects with community and interest groups. Weekend work will be required at times, with flexibility to work additional hours during busy seasonal periods to support the learning programme.

What will I need?
* 4 GCSEs including Maths and English or an equivalent qualification in a related area
* Experience of working with children of all ages
* Experience of public events
* Experience of delivering outdoor workshops to children of all ages
