Position Overview
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the controller to maximize the operational availability of our equipment. Your mission? To perform timely and efficient routine and preventative maintenance, conduct machine inspections, and identify potential issues that could impact availability. You’ll also be tasked with carrying out minor repairs, all while being a safety ambassador for both yourself and our customers.
What You'll Do
* Preventative Maintenance Servicing: Carry out routine servicing of equipment in line with manufacturers' guidelines, including taking routine oil samples (75%)
* Machine Inspection: Conduct visual and mechanical analyses of machine conditions, highlighting developing issues with systems and components (20%)
* Minor Repairs: Complete minor repairs identified during inspections, install telematic systems, and perform undercarriage inspections (5%)

Working Conditions
This is a field-based role, and it’s essential that all drivers have held a full driving license for at least 2 years (subject to a full DVLA license check). You’ll work 43 hours per week with flexible start and finish times, Monday to Friday, and one Saturday in three at an overtime rate.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* A basic knowledge of the four main product elements: Engines, Hydraulics, Powertrain, and Vehicle Electrics/Electronics
* Direct experience (around 3 years) in a related engineering function, such as car mechanic, HGV fitter, or Agricultural Engineer
* A formal apprenticeship qualification that includes at least C&G level 1
* Health & Safety training is desirable but not essential, as further training will be provided
