Closing Date for Application: Monday 12/05/2025 Role Purpose The Transport Planner will implement and manage efficient and cost-effective transportation plans that support the movement of our goods. They will analyse data, traffic patterns, and logistics requirements to optimise routes, reduce costs, minimise environmental impact, and ensure timely and reliable delivery of our goods in line with delivery deadlines. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, Transport Planners play a key role in supporting operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. General Plan and optimise delivery routes and transportation schedules. Monitor and analyse transport data to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Coordinate with drivers, warehouse staff, and third-party logistics providers. Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards. Use transport management systems (TMS) and mapping software for planning and tracking. Resolve transport-related issues and delays in real time. Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Sales, Customer Service, Warehouse) to align transport plans with business needs. Generate reports on transport KPIs and make recommendations for improvement. Maintain accurate documentation and transport records. In addition to the above, undertake such duties as may reasonably be requested and that are commensurate with the nature and grade of the post.
