It's more than a job With us, you will get to know the diverse world of logistics. This programme is a 2-year graduate opportunity in Sea Logistics, offering rotations across placements to develop breadth of skills and leadership potential.

We are the number one Sea Logistics provider, shipping everything from wine to medicine, and we help keep the world moving. This is an exciting opportunity to learn how we do it and to gain professional development within Kuehne+Nagel's Sea Logistics team.


Programme structure and placements

* Placement 1 – Import Customer Care – Liverpool or Birmingham (6 months)
* Placement 2 – Trade & Pricing – Birmingham (3 months)
* Placement 3 – Operational Finance – Birmingham (3 months)
* Placement 4 – On-site at Customer, location to be announced (3 months)
* Placement 5 – On-site at supplier, location to be announced (3 months)

You will begin your journey in one of our Import Customer Care locations managing customers' Import shipments, liaising with KN overseas network, suppliers and internal customers. You will develop your financial and commercial skills and gain an understanding of what makes KN the number one Sea Logistics provider. After developing an understanding of the Import processes, you will take on a placement within Trade and Pricing to develop commercial awareness before transferring into Operational Finance. Finally, you may have placements with customers and suppliers to gain insights into how KN becomes a trusted business partner. The placements are designed to give you broad knowledge of Sea Logistics and how we use internal systems and manage day-to-day operations. We will engage with you about routes available after completion and where your strengths are best suited.


What we would like you to bring

Logistics is a complex and fast-paced environment. You should enjoy challenge and problem-solving, work well with others, be confident dealing with customers and third parties, and have an eye for detail and strong organisation skills. We are looking for raw talent rather than prior knowledge, with an interest in the logistics industry and its potential career paths. You should be passionate about providing excellent customer service, have a strong work ethic, and be able to communicate effectively. Good planning and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and be a self-starter, are important.

Minimum requirements include a 2:2 degree qualification (achieved or expected) and 5 GCSEs Grade A–C including Maths & English. You must be able to travel in the UK and abroad to support events and your international placement. A full UK driving licence (or will have one by start date) and access to transport are required. This vacancy does not meet the minimum requirements for skilled worker visa sponsorship. This position requires enhanced security clearance checks; by applying you agree to participate in employment screening, including criminal record checks and identity validation. Appointment is subject to satisfactory results.

* Graduate Contract: Sept 2026 – Sept 2028
* Working hours: Monday – Friday, 7.5 hours per day (08:30 – 17:00)
* Place of work: Onsite


Recruitment Process
