Quantity SurveyorBased Cambridgeshire (PE13) Rate to £550 a day Are you a driven Quantity Surveyor ready to take ownership on a flagship civil engineering scheme? I am seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading civil engineering contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex infrastructure and groundworks packages across the UK. With a major civils and groundworks project now underway, they are looking to strengthen the commercial team with an ambitious QS who thrives in a fast-paced, high-value environment.
The Role As Quantity Surveyor, youll play a key role in the commercial management of a large-scale civils and groundworks package. Working closely with the Commercial Manager and operational teams, youll ensure financial performance is maximised while maintaining strong client and supply chain relationships. Key responsibilities: Managing subcontractor procurement, payments and final accountsCost value reconciliation (CVR) and forecastingVariations, valuations and change control managementSupporting contract administration (NEC experience desirable)Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks/opportunitiesLiaising with site teams to ensure accurate cost reportingExperience Proven experience as a QS within civil engineering or groundworksStrong understanding of NEC contractsExcellent commercial acumen and negotiation skillsAbility to manage packages independentlyDegree-qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or Commercial ManagementAmbitious, detail-oriented and confident communicatorThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a contractor known for quality delivery, strong commercial performance and investing in their people.
