We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physiotherapist to join our dynamic Health for Older People (HfOP) team based at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital, Wonford.
This full-time hours/week), fixed-term position (until is an exciting opportunity to take on a key clinical and leadership role within our acute services, supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care to older adults across our inpatient wards. The post holder will provide both expert clinical input and day-to-day leadership to the Physiotherapy team, working closely alongside Team Lead Occupational Therapists to deliver an integrated multidisciplinary service.
We are looking for a confident and proactive Physiotherapist with experience working within an acute, frailty/older persons setting. You should possess strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills, a commitment to multidisciplinary working and patient-centred care. Experience and a keen interest in staff supervision, teaching, and leadership and a passion for service improvement and delivering high-quality outcomes is essential.
Key Responsibilities include providing clinical leadership and expert physiotherapy input across the HfOP inpatient wards, including support for older patients who are outlying on other wards. You will manage a varied caseload of patients presenting with complex physical, cognitive, and functional impairments .You will undertake comprehensive assessments, develop and deliver individualised acute rehabilitation programmes, and support safe and effective discharge planning. You will be required to assess and manage patients with acute respiratory needs in line with best practice and will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to optimise patient flow and outcomes across the pathway. There will be a requirement to contribute to weekend, bank holiday, and on-call rotas.

Working Pattern: Monday -Friday :-: (weekends and on-calls on a rota basis with a typical frequency of one weekend day and on-call shift per month).
