Join to apply for the 224584 Maintenance Craftsperson - Plumber role at NHS DUMFRIES & GALLOWAY. An exciting opportunity within the Estates & Property Services Department for an Estates Maintenance Craftsperson Plumber. The successful applicant based within the Galloway Community Hospital in Stranraer will provide both reactive and planned maintenance on a wide variety of plant and equipment across a number of Board Properties.
Responsibilities
* Act as a fully trained and certificated Maintenance Plumber to provide plumbing services to meet the needs of the Estate service provision.
* Install, modify, repair and maintain plumbing equipment and systems within a number of Board properties to ensure safe operation and to support the smooth operation of mechanical systems within the Organisation.
* Work with a flexible approach to hours; participate in shift working and the out-of-hours on-call rota as required.
Qualifications
* Recognised and registered EITB or CITB (or equivalent) craft apprenticeship.
* Plus an HNC/ONC/BTEC Building and Engineering Services (Plumbing) Or City & Guilds 596 Advanced Craft Certificate in both: Sanitary Plumbing And Installation & Maintenance of Domestic Heating Systems & Appliances Or Equivalent Approved Qualification, or in special circumstances equivalent experience.
* Experience and training appropriate to satisfy the necessary academic standards required.
Additional information
A flexible approach to work is necessary as variations to the standard working week may be required. There will be a requirement to participate in shift working and in the out-of-hours on-call rota. The salary for this vacancy does not meet the minimum required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
