This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned HSE professional to join a growing, multi-site business.The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and enhancing the organisations safety culture, ensuring compliance across multiple sites, and driving continuous improvement in Health & Safety performance.The Role:The Health & Safety Manager will work closely with operational teams, site management, and contractors to implement best practice, support ongoing compliance, and provide expert guidance on all aspects of Health & Safety management. This is a hands-on, influential position suited to someone who thrives in fast-paced, technical environments.Key Responsibilities:Develop H&S policies Create, implement, and continuously improve Health & Safety policies, procedures, and management systems.Conduct site inspections Carry out inspections, audits, and compliance monitoring across manufacturing and construction sites.Manage contractor compliance Support and monitor contractor and subcontractor activities to ensure safe systems of work.Lead risk assessments Develop and review risk assessments, method statements, and control measures.Investigate incidents Lead incident and near-miss investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.Ensure compliance with current Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice.Prepare monthly HSE reports, dashboards, and safety communications for management.Support internal audit programmes and coordinate external audit and ISO accreditation readiness.Monitor HSE performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Deliver Health & Safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programmes.Provide specialist guidance on COSHH, fire safety, occupational health, machinery safety, and risk management.Promote a proactive safety culture through effective engagement with employees, contractors, and stakeholders.Criteria:4+ years experience in a senior Health & Safety role within engineering, manufacturing, construction, or a related sector.Strong working knowledge of H&S legislation and compliance requirements.Experience conducting inspections, audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office.Full UK driving licence.If this sounds like the next step in your career, wed love to hear from you!
