Are you a motivated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant looking to make a positive impact in a Woolwich primary school?
We are working with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Woolwich that is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils across KS1 and KS2. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated TA who enjoys working as part of a team and supporting children to reach their full potential.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support learning and classroom routines, providing help to individuals and small groups where needed.
Your Responsibilities
Support pupils across KS1 and/or KS2 with their learning and development
Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
Provide 1:1 or small-group support as required
Help pupils stay engaged, focused, and motivated in lessons
Support pupils with transitions, routines, and positive behaviour
Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and wider school staffWhat We’re Looking For
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grades 4–9)
Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant in a primary school
A positive, patient, and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and well-being
