Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves nurturing plants, maintaining gardens, and ensuring the overall aesthetic appeal of outdoor spaces. The Gardener will work with various tools and equipment to create and sustain beautiful landscapes.
Responsibilities
* Cultivate and maintain gardens, including planting, pruning, and fertilising plants.
* Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, and weeding.
* Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for various gardening tasks.
* Implement irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns.
* Conduct regular inspections of garden areas to identify pests or diseases and take appropriate action.
* Assist in the design and layout of new garden areas or landscaping projects.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of gardening tools and equipment.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure all gardening tasks are completed efficiently.
Requirements
* Proven experience in gardening or landscape maintenance is preferred.
* Knowledge of plant care, including growing techniques and pest management.
* A driving licence.
* Familiarity with operating power tools and hand tools relevant to gardening tasks.
* Strong understanding of groundskeeping principles and practices.
* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
* Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
* Good physical fitness, as the role requires lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
