Job Title: Training & Continuous Improvement Leader
Location: Tamworth
Hours: Monday-Thursday: 8am-5pm, Friday: 8am-4:30pm (This role is predominantly day shift but a reasonable level of overtime and shift working maybe required to complete tasks on hand)
Job Summary:
The role holder will lead the development and delivery of training and coaching for the warehouse team, ensuring operational performance, service levels, safety, quality and productivity standards are consistently achieved. The role will also analyse performance trends, identify skill gaps, opportunities to raise standards and continuously improve training programmes to enhance operational performance. Lead PDCA problem solving initiatives to implement new ideas and improvements. Drive a Warehouse Excellence/continuous improvement culture.
Responsibilities Include:
Trainer
1. Responsible for leading all training and continuous improvement initiatives in the warehouse.
2. Responsible for driving improved quality and service standards.
3. Responsibility for leading all continuous improvement, PDCA practical problem solving and training activities to achieve warehouse excellence.
4. Lead workplace safety improvements, including introduction of the ‘safe start’.
5. Provide training and coaching in new systems of work as required.
6. Develop and execute new standard operating procedures and care points in the warehouse.
7. Demonstrate a positive attitude, lead by example and action improvements quickly.
8. Develop and maintain suitable KPI’s to monitor improvements.
9. Promote new ideas, continuous improvement and learning.
10. Conduct coaching sessions, workshops, individual training sessions etc.
11. Support and mentor new employees as well as developing skills of existing employees.
12. Conduct evaluations to identify areas of improvement.
13. Utilise knowledge of lean methodologies to lead and assist in the delivery of improvement initiatives
14. Identification of data trends to target warehouse operational improvements.
15. You will be required to be flexible and when required support other operating companies within Epwin in implementing/sharing best practice ‘good’ warehouse operations.
16. Deputise for Shift Team Leaders when required. Attend the twice-yearly stock takes.
