Role Title: Classroom Assistant Jobs Growth Wales+
Location: Deeside
Contract Type: Permanent: Full time
Salary: £ 24,473 - £24,962
We currently have a vacancy for a Classroom Assistant to join our Jobs Growth Wales+ Directorate, based at our Deeside site.
We’re looking for a proactive and self-motivated and dynamic individual who is eager to learn and develop new skills within the team.
Using detailed knowledge and specialist skills, you will provide support in assessing the needs of learners and establish productive working relationships, acting as a role model and setting high expectations where required. The Classroom assistant will also support learners with weekly timesheet administration.
You will support the Employability Mentors in ensuring sessions are effective and promote inclusion and acceptance of all learners within the learning environment who are undertaking Jobs Growth Wales+. Supporting learners consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs, you will promote independence and provide feedback to learners in relation to progression and achievement.
Essential Requirements
1. Educated to GCSE standard in English and Maths at grade C or above
2. Excellent IT Skills
3. Previous experience of working with NEETs or supporting learners
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a positive ‘can-do’ approach
5. Effective and successful management of time and resources to meet challenging targets and be willing to learn and develop new skills
6. Experience of supporting individuals with Additional Learning needs, IDP’s and learning and support plans
Welsh language skills are desirable for this position.
