Innovate to solve the world's most important challenges Process Controls and Validation Engineer We have an opportunity for a Process Controls and Validation Engineer to join us at Honeywell, in Macclesfield, where you will be responsible for establishing, controlling and improving process control systems to satisfy asset, manufacturing and compliance demands at customer site and specifying control system and control system documentation requirements for new or updated systems. We are committed to the highest standard in everything we do Key requirements Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the PLC and PC based automation systems on site Perform system administration (access control, software revision control, back-up and recovery) Troubleshoot malfunctioning systems using LEAN techniques to identify and report root cause and corrective actions Updating and maintaining system documentation to required standards along with walking through control system documentation and red-lining them to reflect as built conditions Comply with all systems, processes and procedures in line with statutory, legislative and quality requirements on site Key skills and qualifications Experience within a similar role working with PLCs (programmable logic controllers) with experience of Siemens TIA Portal, ideally V17 onwards Ability to make minor modifications to code and HMI graphics for smaller in-house changes Able to read logic and perform some programming as well as update control system documentation in line with policy and process Capable of reading and understanding electrical control system diagrams (control panel wiring diagrams, loop drawings, panel layout drawings and schedules, etc.) Basic understanding of sequel servers and databases on AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles) Our offer A culture that fosters inclusion, diversity and innovation Market specific training and on-going personal development Competitive Salary and benefits We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
