Overview
Branch Manager - Leek. Salary up to £36,000. Working hours 35 per week: Monday to Friday 8:30am – 4:00pm and 8:30am – 12:30pm Saturdays. Closing date: 17 September 2025. Role
As a Branch Manager, you will lead, coach and develop a team to deliver outstanding customer experience, achieve commercial and colleague results, and comply with quality, risk and regulatory requirements while contributing to the Network Scorecard.
Key Accountabilities
* Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the branch
* Inspiring, leading and coaching branch colleagues to deliver excellent results
* Meeting with customers and resolving problems or complaints as necessary
* Creating a strong team culture that emulates the bank01s values and behaviours to inspire customers to buy from us, stay with us and recommend us
* Managing branch activity against the Network Scorecard and addressing performance gaps where required
* Organising and supervising branch activities to optimise resources and balance operational, customer and regulatory needs
* Developing strategies and operational logistics for the bank01s success
* Building and developing local community and business links to promote the business and meet needs
* Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the bank01s strategy and local competition
* Managing colleague resources to support various channels: face-to-face, telephony and secure messaging
* Overseeing Training and Competence of all colleagues across channels and processes, including KMOT
* Managing and maintaining risk within the branch through One Best Control processes
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Thorough knowledge of banking products, rules and processes
* Proven experience building, managing and motivating a team
* Ability to coach, provide feedback and buddy colleagues for development
* Ability to lead change in the local market and build resilience and capability
* Ambition and the desire to succeed
* Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to prioritise, multi-task and maintain attention to detail
