About the Opportunity
Bolt Technical are recruiting for a CNC Machinist to join a well-established precision engineering company.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern machining environment, producing complex components for a variety of high-tech industries.
Youll play a key role on the shop floor, setting, operating, and supporting CNC machining processes to deliver high-quality and efficient production.
Key Responsibilities
* Set, operate and run CNC machining centres (3, 4 & 5 axis)
* Work from engineering drawings to produce precision components to tight tolerances
* Load tooling, set offsets, and run programs efficiently
* Carry out first-off inspection and in-process quality checks
* Ensure all components meet required quality and technical standards
* Support troubleshooting and resolve machining or production issues
* Maintain accurate documentation for tooling and processes
* Perform basic machine maintenance and daily checks
* Work closely with Supervisors and Quality teams to meet production targets
* Support continuous improvement and productivity initiatives
* Assist in mentoring junior team members and apprentices
What Theyre Looking For
* Proven experience operating CNC machining centres
* Experience working with aluminium and stainless steel
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Experience with Siemens or Heidenhain controls (advantageous)
* Background in aerospace, defence, or precision engineering environments (preferred)
* Strong attention to detail and quality standards
* Flexible and proactive approach to work
* Good communication skills and team-focused mindset
