Milk Education is working in partnership with secondary schools across Southportto recruit enthusiastic, driven, and compassionate Graduate Teaching Assistants to join from Summer 2025 and into the new academic year.
Who Are We Looking For?
We welcome applications from graduates across a wide range of subjects, including but not limited to:
1. Psychology Graduates – Interested in working 1:1 or in small groups to support pupils with special educational needs such as autism, ADHD or SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs).
2. Core Subject Graduates – English, Maths or Science grads keen to support pupils in KS3 to GCSE and A-Level through tailored interventions, revision support and in-class assistance.
3. PE/Sports Graduates – Confident and energetic graduates looking to engage pupils through sport-based interventions or behaviour mentoring roles, helping improve focus, discipline and wellbeing.
This is also a great opportunity to build experience in cover supervision, providing classroom support and stepping in for absent teachers to develop classroom management skills.
What Will You Be Doing?
4. Supporting pupils either 1:1 or in small groups with both academic and pastoral support
5. Assisting class teachers in delivering engaging lessons
6. Helping with planning and preparing resources
7. Supporting behaviour management and promoting positive learning environments
8. Gaining valuable experience through cover supervision and classroom leadership
9. Working closely with SEND teams and pastoral staff to promote inclusion and well-being
